Is the Ginger Ranch a wedding venue?
The Ginger Ranch is not specifically a wedding venue, but we do allow small DIY weddings at the ranch. We are completely hands off with planning your wedding. We only provide the space.
Do you have any recommendations for caterers, florists, photographers, etc?
Yes, please visit our vendor page to see a list of vendors that provide services at the Ginger Ranch.
Where do people park?
Event guests should park in the large grassy area in front of the main house. There are cones on site that you can setup to direct traffic on the day of the event.
Can we visit the ranch before our event?
Visitation is by appointment or reservation only. Please do not visit the ranch without prior arrangements, so that you do not disturb any guests that may have the ranch reserved. We offer a monthly tour, when the ranch will be available for viewings to anyone that is considering the Ginger Ranch for a wedding or event. The tour will always take place during the middle of the week, as the ranch is usually booked on weekends. If you would like to visit the ranch prior to your reservation or event, please contact us for the next tour dates.
Are any tables and chairs provided?
Yes, we have 75 wooden folding chairs on site for the ceremony and 16 six foot long picnic tables in the pavilion.
Can I decorate the ceremony arch and pavilion?
Yes, you may decorate the arch and pavilion any way that you like for your event. We just ask that you please remove all decorations when your event is over.
We only need the ranch for the day of the wedding. Can we book the ranch for just 1 night?
Sorry, but we have a 2 night minimum. Most groups will often book the day before and the day after the event to allow time for setup and rehearsal the day prior and additional cleanup time the day after.
Is a bartender required?
Yes, all alcohol must be served by a TABC licensed bartender during your wedding or event.
Is there a limit on the number of people that may attend a wedding?
Yes, the Ginger Ranch is ideal for small, intimate weddings. We have a limit of 100 people on the property at any one time.
Can we pitch an additional event tent or bring in other tables & chairs?
Yes, you may bring in your own event tent, tables & chairs. But, they must be picked up from the property before your check out time, unless prior arrangements have been made.
What do we do with trash?
There is a large dumpster on site. All trash must be placed in the dumpster at check out.
Can I have a DJ?
Yes, you may have a DJ. However, out of respect for our neighbors, all amplified music must be turned down by 10pm. If we receive a noise complaint, we will ask you to turn the music OFF.
