History of the Ginger Ranch
The 100 acre property was originally settled by the Fritz family, German immigrants who settled in the Fredericksburg area in the 1800’s. For over 100 years, it was primarily a dairy farm and cattle ranch. It stayed in the family for many generations, until it was purchased in 2019 by Jeff & Ashley Clawson and appropriately named the Ginger Ranch after their red headed children, Harper, Beckett, Asher & Scarlett. The Ginger Ranch now operates as a weekend retreat for families looking to escape to the Texas Hill Country and explore all that Fredericksburg has to offer.
